I travel by bus and tram
I travel by bus and tram and I want the flexibility to travel across the whole Metrolink network and any Greater Manchester bus.
If you want to travel by both bus and tram get me there offers a range of new tickets to make this easier. There is a 1-day Bus and Tram Anytime, and if you don’t need to travel before 9:30 a 1-day Bus and Tram Off Peak. If you make multi-modal journeys more regularly you can also choose from a 7 or 28-day Bus & Tram ticket.
You can buy the 1-day tickets from a bus driver. We are working to bring these to Metrolink on-stop ticket machines (TVMs) as soon as possible. The 7-day and 28-day tickets are available from TfGM Travelshops and PayPoint Outlets. They are also available on line - see below for more information.
Anybus and Bus & Tram travelcards are offered for sale by Greater Manchester Travelcards Ltd.
You can purchase a 7-day or 28-day bus and tram ticket online, but at the moment you can only collect it from a Metrolink Smart Reader. You cannot pick these tickets up onboard buses, from Travelshops or from PayPoint outlets.
To collect your ticket, simply touch your card to the touch plate below the screen on the Metrolink smart reader, the lights will flash orange and your may see a screen saying "updating". if your ticket starts in the future you may also see a message saying "declined" this is nothing to worry about unless you were intending to start a Metrolink journey; if this is the case please get in touch with customer services on 0300 035 035.
The 7-day and 28-day Bus and Tram travelcards are available from TfGM Travelshops and PayPoint Outlets.
