I’m a concessionary pass holder

If you have a concessionary pass issued by Transport for Greater Manchester, including an Over 60's, Concessionary, Concessionary+ or Women's Concessionary Travel Scheme pass you can use it whenever you travel for free, or add tickets and travelcards for times when you need to pay.

You should already be using your concessionary pass* to 'touch in' on buses when you travel using your free entitlement in Greater Manchester.

You can also buy selected get me there travelcards to load onto your concessionary pass if you want to travel on any Greater Manchester bus* before 9.30am Monday to Friday.

Travelcards currently entitle you to travel at all times of the day, therefore they may not offer you better value unless you travel frequently before 9.30am.

*An ENCTS, Disabled, Disabled Plus or WCTS pass issued by TfGM.

Most concessionary pass* holders are already using their pass to touch in an out at the start of every journey you make when you're travelling for free on Metrolink.

You can now use your concessionary pass* to buy and load smart tickets from a Travelshop or online, to use these simply buy the ticket before you travel and touch in and our when travelling at peak times. You do not need to touch in and out when travelling with a printed ticket.

If you hold an ENCTS Disabled card issued by TfGM, our range of smart concessionary fares are available in Travelshops or on the website.

Hold your pass to the touchplate just below the screen on one of the yellow smart readers which are situated on every Metrolink platform. The lights on the smart reader will go green, and you'll get a green tick on the screen to confirm that your pass has been recognised and accepted.
